The beekeepers of the ZUGRAVU family raise bees thanks to the knowledge they have absorbed from generations of breeders and continuous study, together with the family-owned ApiZUG beekeeping association. For the seven Zugravu brothers, being a beekeeper is more than a "job" it is a passion!
In 2023, beekeepers of the ZUGRAVU family also decided to open the company "ApiZUG Bio srl" to export honey to the European Union and outside the EU, having all the necessary documents and BIO certifications, as required by the regulations.

To diversify production, the ZUGRAVU family, with its 2,500 bee hives, practices nomadic beekeeping, bringing more than 100 tons of a vast range of organic honeys to the ApiZUG warehouse every year, some truly rare and precious, many of which have won awards.
From year to year our bee families grow steadily.
At the end of the pastoral period, the bee families are brought home... in the heart of Bucovina, in the Carpathian mountains.

Honey is one of the most complete and precious products that nature offers us. There are various types of honey and each has its precise characteristics. It is difficult to say how many types of honey exist, but it is certainly a product of excellence in Romania. The types of honey and their properties are numerous and this is why if you use this ingredient for its benefits it is necessary to know all its peculiarities.

The products of the hive are the result of the work of the bees and consist of propolis, pollen, royal jelly, etc. in addition to honey. all natural energy sources. However, the importance attributed to these insects does not only depend on the production of substances so precious for human well-being, as their presence represents the survival of a large part of the ecosystem.

The average annual honey production of the Zugravu family is around 100 tons. The APIZUG BIO SRL company can sell honey wholesale in the European Union and outside the EU where all organic honey certificates are valid, also benefiting from the intra-community exchange of VAT. Wholesale sales can be made in 300 kg drums or 25 kg buckets made to order. The honey can be delivered raw, unfiltered, or homogenized and filtered honey ready to be put in a jar.

Organic farming is based on the close functional connection with the land and a number of animals proportional to the company's production capacity with the ultimate aim of avoiding conditions of intensive farming.
